We provide compassionate, comprehensive care to children from birth through adolescence and young adulthood (age 21), and we are glad you are considering us as your child's medical home.
Our office is located in Chestertown, MD, and we are proud to serve families from Kent, Queen Anne's, Caroline and Talbot counties. Dr. Ramirez opened the Chestertown office in 1999, and the practice has been caring for local children ever since.

We offer a full range of pediatric care, including prenatal "meet the doctor" visits for expecting parents, newborn care, well-child checkups, immunizations, sick visits, school and sports physicals, and ADHD assessment and treatment. Our caring team is committed to providing quality service in a comfortable, safe office setting where children and parents can feel at ease. We also set aside time to give parents the tools and information they need to raise healthy children from birth through adolescence.

We strive to provide high-quality medical care, which means excellent clinical care and a positive experience for our patients and their parents. We strongly support breastfeeding during infancy and vaccinations throughout childhood into adulthood as a means of health promotion and disease prevention. At every visit, we follow the growth and development of infants, children and adolescents and provide evidence-based information on a broad range of pediatric health concerns.
Meet Dr. Julio A. Ramirez
Dr. Ramirez is a board-certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is bilingual and cares for families in both English and Spanish. He completed his pediatric training at the Children's Medical Center of Brooklyn and opened his Chestertown practice in 1999. Read Dr. Ramirez's full biography.
