We make every attempt to be as responsive to your scheduling needs as possible. Once we hear from you, a member of our team will confirm the date and time of your child's visit. If your child is ill and needs to be seen today, please contact the office directly for same-day assistance rather than waiting for a routine appointment.
Types of Appointments
- Well-child checkups – routine visits that follow the American Academy of Pediatrics schedule, from the newborn period through adolescence.
- Sick visits – same-day visits are offered whenever possible for illnesses such as fever, ear pain, sore throat, cough or rash.
- School, camp and sports physicals – please bring any forms that need to be completed.
- Follow-up visits – for ongoing concerns such as asthma, ADHD, weight management or recovery from an illness.
- Prenatal "meet the doctor" visits – a complimentary visit for expecting parents. Learn more.
- Telemedicine visits – some concerns can be handled by video. See how virtual visits work.
How to Request an Appointment
- Contact our Chestertown office during business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM).
- Tell us your child's full name, date of birth and the reason for the visit.
- Share your preferred days and times, and whether you are a new or returning patient.
- Have your insurance information ready so we can verify coverage.
Current patients can also use the patient portal.
Before Your Visit
New patients should review our new patient checklist and bring their insurance card, immunization record and a list of medications. Please arrive a few minutes early to complete any paperwork.
Cancellations and Late Arrivals
We understand that occasional circumstances prevent you from keeping a scheduled appointment. If possible, please notify our office in advance if you are running late or unable to attend. Our scheduling staff will do their best to reschedule you promptly.
Medical emergency? Do not request an appointment online. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
